Shannon Sukovaty, Concept and Artistic Director, of Thenardiers Inn – A Les Miserables Cabaret answered some quick questions for @SeeItOrSkipItLA!

1. Will people get to hear favorites from Les Mis, or will the selections be completely different?

A: While the show is a comedic retelling of the classic story told by Master Thenardier at his Inn, the songs remain the same.

2. This show is described as being an “immersive theatrical cabaret.” Does that mean that people should expect audience participation?

A: Yes, there is plenty of audience participation, making this show unique every time you see it!

3. What about your show makes it perfect for the Fringe?

A: Thenardiers is a great blend of comedy and drama with touching-heartfelt moments, beautiful songs and lots of fun. We like to describe it as the perfect show for the theatre lover as well as those who may be skeptical.

4. What do you hope the audience walks away with after your show?

A: We want the audience to leave feeling a greater appreciation for the story and music of Les Miserables, as well as a new love for live theatre that is presented in a whole new way.

5. What show, other than yours, are you most excited to see at the Fringe?

A: There are so many wonderful shows, it’s hard to choose just one and we are very excited to see as many as possible! A few that are on our absolutely can’t miss calendar are: Four Clowns, Alien Vs. Musicals and Annabella!
