These are some of the pictures that I took on my trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon in January 2017 to complete my canon! Click here to return to the Canon Checklist.

 

The Royal Shakespeare Company – this building contains the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Swan Theatre.

 

Shakespeare’s Birthplace – No flash photography was allowed inside, and as I couldn’t figure out how to turn my flash off, I didn’t get many pictures.

 

Guild Chapel – Likely the church Shakespeare attended. It also contains the remnants of a painting that his father was hired to restore.

 

Location of Shakespeare’s Adult House – the house itself was torn down over 200 years ago – there was a dispute over taxes. These are the sculptures that have been erected where his house once stood.

 

Trinity Church – location of Shakespeare’s grave
